September 2024 — Association founded
AM Space is created and launches
its first on-campus aerospace initiatives.
2025
January 2025 — First funding secured
The association receives its first grant and formalizes its technical structure.
March 2025 — CNES C’Space registration
AM Space submits its application and is admitted to
the national student launch competition.
May 2025 — ArianeGroup invited on campus
ArianeGroup visits ENSAM for the Ariane 6 inauguration,
leading to the club’s first industry connections.
July 2025 — Leadership transition
A new board takes office and reorganizes
the association around project-based teams.
August 2025 — Legal board update
The association updates its official registry
records to reflect the new leadership.
September 2025 — Plasma-thruster project initiated
Work begins on a mini pulsed plasma-thermal thruster,
including concept design and preliminary modeling.
October 2025 — Record funding obtained
AM Space receives the largest ENSAM student-association grant ever awarded, supporting research and hardware development.
November 2025 — New partnerships formalized
Collaborations with HyPrSpace and ONERA
are structured around technical mentoring and access to expertise.
November 2025 — First plasma simulations completed
Initial CFD and discharge-model simulations are produced and reviewed.
December 2025 — CNES RCE1 review completed
The team completes the first official design review for
the rocket project with CNES supervisors.
December 2025 — Rocket assembly begins
Manufacturing and integration activities start
for the C’Space launch vehicle.
2026
January 2026 — Plasma-thruster assembly launched
Fabrication of the first test articles will start,
alongside preparation for an invited technical talk.
January 2026 — Partner conference scheduled
A guest expert has been confirmed
for an on-campus aerospace seminar.
February 2026 — Grant disbursed
The funding obtained in October will formally
be released to support ongoing work.
February 2026 — CNES engineering meeting held
The rocket structure and subsystem choices will have to
be reviewed and validated with CNES engineers.
March 2026 — First plasma-thruster tests conducted
Initial bench tests will begin on the prototype thruster.
April 2026 — “Welcome to the Sky” event hosted on campus
AM Space will organize an outreach event introducing
ENSAM students to aerospace careers, projects, and opportunities.
May 2026 — Plasma-thruster first results released
Early experimental data and updated simulations
will be shared with partners and advisors.
May 2026 — Participation at VivaTech (14–17 May)
AM Space will present its projects and
engage with industry representatives.
June 2026 — Participation at Paris Air Show (16–22 June)
The team will showcase its initiatives and will meet aerospace
stakeholders at the world’s largest air show.
July 2026 — Rocket launch at C’Space
AM Space will conduct its first full launch
campaign at the CNES C’Space program.
